This ingredient is the best. It is often in baked goods or it stands nicely alone as an anchor to a meal. Now you can buy them at the grocery store and they are reasonably priced and a good source of protein or you can be very fortunate and have a connection and get free range organic ones because believe me there is a big taste difference.
I am of course talking about:
They are so beautiful. I love all the differences between them: some have little yolks and lots of egg white, some have beautiful orange yolks that cook up so creamy and the variety of shell colors...it's almost a shame to crack them. And so many ways to cook them! My husband loves poached eggs. He eats them every day. I even bought him a special poaching pan. My favorite way is in frittatas which my little pug also enjoys.
So Friday, I will share an egg recipe that is super easy to prepare and quite filling!
