Kitchen tip

My husband and I were lamenting the other day, that we really don't enjoy eating out like we used to.  There are some reasons for that which include 1)not knowing exactly what is contained in the food (chemicals and less than ideal ingredients) 2) switching your palate from processed to whole foods your taste buds begin to recognize what quality tastes like and 3) recognition of point 2 makes you realize your money can be used in a better way by investing in your own kitchen.

By spending less money eating out, you can then direct the money saved back into your own kitchen.  Better spices, better cuts of meat, fresh veggies instead of canned or frozen, specialty ingredients to assist you in your health related goals.

So next time you are sitting in a drive-thru, consider that you could make a healthier version of that meal at home and in the same amount of time or less that it takes you to leave your house, travel to the restaurant, sit in the drive thru, get your food in throw away containers (that get added to the landfill), that is cold by the time you get in the house and doesn't reheat well and really adds nothing or injures your health.  Perhaps there is another way to go about it.
