When beginning a new way of eating, it is best to try one or two things new, master them and then build on them.
For example, I started off by cutting out soda and sugar. Then I cut way down on the whites: flour, pasta, rice etc. And so on and so on. You work on your goals until they are automatic and then you add something else. When you build up some positive changes then the next positive changes aren't as difficult to achieve as you already have a proven track record of success before.
And don't recreate the wheel...people have traveled the road before you. Youtube and Pinterest are your friends with the caveat: check more than one source. Find the "teachers" you trust, and read and research.
I find myself somewhat disappointed with the medical profession and government who have put forth certain health protocols that seem to hook us on prescription drugs. I'm choosing a different path and two years in, I've just scratched the surface in changing the things I've been taught and believed for 50+ years. It is never too late to improve your health. It is work but it is worth it.
